About the course

Course Description

Our Parent & Child Programme is designed for families who want to learn English together. It offers General English classes for junior students aged 8 to 15, with parents studying on the same Standard General English timetable. Junior students are placed in age-appropriate classes to ensure an engaging and supportive learning experience.

This is a tuition-only programme, so families are responsible for arranging their own accommodation. The course includes 15 hours of English tuition per week for both parents and children.

Ideal for parents who wish to study alongside their children, this programme combines quality language learning with shared educational goals in a family-friendly environment.

Important Information

Parental Responsibilities

The ETC Parent & Child Programme is designed for parents and their children when the children are aged between 8 – 15. In order to participate in the programme, all parents must escort their children to class and collect them after class has finished. ETC only takes responsibility for children aged 8 – 15 during lesson time.

Parents understand the need to be with their children at all times. In order to be accepted on the Family Programme, parents must also take English classes which are arranged on the same timetable as their children.

Accommodation Options

Families must source their own accommodation whilst enrolled on the Parent & Child Programme.

ETC is able to recommend a number of accommodation providers in the area but accommodation bookings must be made directly with the provider, not via ETC.

Important Information

  • Parents take full responsibility for their children outside lesson times and agree to supervise their children whenever on ETC premises.
  • By booking the family programme, parents understand that students aged 18+ will also be on-site.
  • Children must travel and study with their parents.
  • ETC requires a minimum of 2 children per class to run this course.
