The ETC Military English course prepares military and security personnel, civil servants, and diplomats for roles requiring daily English communication with overseas counterparts.
Trainees undergo a needs analysis before receiving targeted training to operate effectively in various military-related situations. The program follows NATO STANAG 6001 and Council of Europe language proficiency guidelines, incorporating specialized instruction based on individual requirements.
ETC's Military English course equips personnel for deployment in multinational operations and roles within NATO and UN peacekeeping missions.

Course Duration
12 weeks
Minimum 1 week. To receive a diploma, students must study for 24 weeks.
Course Structure
30 lessons per week
10 lessons of Military English per week plus 20 lessons of General English per week.

If appropriate for the client’s needs, end of course testing is run in accordance with the NATO STANAG 6001 Military Language Descriptors.
Certification issued is an internal ETC certificate, but this is in accordance with NATO STANAG 6001 and like the Common European Framework of Reference, is generally acceptable as a measure of the operational and administrative military English language skills level of the holder.
External examinations can be arranged on demand (and at additional cost).
