Course Information
We provide a Cambridge IELTS exam preparation and course to help students reach their full potential and apply for the University course of their choice.
Almost all universities in English speaking countries require international students to have Cambridge IELTS certificates. We provide a stress-free, learning environment to help students prepare in class and pass the IELTS exam. IELTS stands for International English Testing System. When undertaking this course, there are two modules which both test the students’ reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.

The Cambridge IELTS exam preparation course is internationally recognised and accepted worldwide by employers and educational institutes. Almost all universities in the UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand accept IELTS. Take the course to show your level of English.
Our experienced teachers will guide you through the stages of preparation for the Cambridge IELTS exam to make sure you reach your maximum potential and apply for the University course of your choice. The exams take place at the end of the course and you’ll be fully prepared to take them.
Modules
There are two modules: Academic and General. Both of the modules are graded using the same criteria. They both test your skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking. The only difference is the subject matter and the type of vocabulary used which varies to suit the diverse interests of candidates.
The academic module is for candidates wishing to study at undergraduate or postgraduate levels or seeking professional registration.
The general module is for candidates wishing to migrate to an English-speaking country and for those wishing to train or study at below degree level.
Who accredits IELTS?
IELTS is jointly managed by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), the British Council and IDP Education Australia: IELTS Australia.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long are classes?
Each lesson is 45 minutes long.
The IELTS exam preparation course provides 15 hours of tuition per week. The more hours you study, the more chance you have of progressing quickly.
When can I start studying?
You can enrol at ETC from any Monday of your choice. On your first Monday at ETC you will take a test that will help us decide which level of classes you need.
