Pearson BTEC Level 3 ND in Business // Adult Courses
The BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Business is aimed at providing
students with the knowledge and skills to follow a business degree or
follow a career path in business.Areas of employment include junior
business roles in marketing, administration, finance, events management,
HR, marketing and other related areas in the business sector.
The course consists of 9 units. Each unit consists of 60, 90, or 120 hours of guided learning.
Guided learning hours may be provided as lectures, seminars or tutorials.
Students will study content in relation to the following subject areas:
- Exploring Business
- Developing a Marketing Campaign
- Personal and Business Finance
- Managing an Event
- International Business
- Principles of Management
- Recruitment and Selection Process
- Recording Financial Transactions
- Training and Development
36 teaching weeks spread over a year
720 guided learning hours
230 hours recommended personal study
Total expected learning hours: 950
Minimum Level Requirements
English Language Requirement: IELTS 4.5 or equivalent with no less than 4.5 in any skill.
Qualification: Foundation RQF level 2 or equivalent (A-Levels / high school Diploma).
Minimum age: 17 years +
Assessment may take the form of individual and team based projects and presentations / seminars, tests, personal learning journals, exams, continuous assessment, portfolios, mind maps and organising events, which are all based on the college fair assessment policy
Certificate and Credits
Upon successful completion of the course you will be presented with a Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Business.
Course Start Dates
Students can join the course in September and January.
Applications for other start dates may be considered on a case-by-case basis after assessing the individual’s prior learning.
General Level / Experience of Staff
Staff come from a range of backgrounds, including academic and industry specialisms. From time to time we may invite guest lecturers or subject specific specialists to take lectures / seminars.
Staff teaching English modules hold a Cambridge CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL qualification.
Fees and Other Related Costs
Tuition fees for new students: £14,644 (this includes a £100 non-refundable enrolment fee).
Tuition fees for existing or continuing students: £14,544 per annum.
BTEC Registration fee: £202 (payable only once).
Total fees: £14,846
Books: A range of books are recommended to supplement teaching and are purchased at the discretion of the student. All recommended texts are available in the College library for reference purposes.
Upon successful completion and achievment of the required language level, students can progress to the Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Business or a business pathway. Please see individual specifications for more information on each course.
