Previously referred to as host families, a homestay provider offers a safe, warm and comfortable environment for students staying in Bournemouth during their time at ETC. You can make money from your spare room with competitive rates on offer. Please complete the form below to register your interest with us.

SAFEGUARDING STUDENTS

Do you and anyone age 16 and over in your homestay have a current ‘Child Workforce – Homestay Provider DBS? If so, please provide full names of each family member with said DBS:

If you do not have DBS certificates, and you and those aged 16+ in your homestay want to host our juniors, please confirm that you, and the other homestay members aged 16+ are interested in applying for a DBS certificate?

You will each need to provide 3 types of ID for this i.e. passport, driving licence, council tax bill (or bank statement) – we need to see originals of these documents, so will give you the DBS forms to complete when we visit you and take copies of the said identification documents. If they are not available for copying during the visit, you will have to bring these in to ETC to be copied for our records, in order to complete the DBS applications.

Please see the Prevent & Safeguarding document relating to a Safeguarding course, a ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education – Part 1’ (Sept 2019 30 page document), and Prevent Policy & Procedure, Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct. These may all be, or have been sent to you by separate email.

Homestay Providers will be paid fortnightly in arrears, directly into their bank account. The payment clears approximately one week after they receive the Payment Slip by email, which is 10/11 days after the payment period.
