Student welfare is of paramount importance to us.

We want you to enjoy your time with us as much as possible. We have a great team of friendly staff to welcome you and help you if you need it. We have policies and procedures in place for our staff to help you in the best way possible.

First Aiders

We have a team of first aid trained members of staff at ETC so there will always be someone to help you if you have a physical injury. If you or someone else has an injury, you can find help from one of our trained first aiders. The first aiders are listed above. There are also first aiders in the Residences that we use.

Safeguarding Officers

Our safeguarding officers are available to talk to if you have a problem. No problem is too small and all conversations are confidential. If you need someone to talk to about any issue you may have, contact one of our safeguarding officers with the symbol.

Facilities at ETC

ETC has a fantastic on-site cafeteria serving hot food throughout the day. We also provide a salad bar for students too!

If you need to buy a bus pass, some books, stationary or even a snack, visit the ETC Library and Mr Diyaa will be happy to help.

Teaching Staff

ETC is committed to the recruitment and selection of staff who are qualified and experienced, possessing the necessary skills to maintain quality student learning. ETC takes great care in selecting teachers that we think will bring the best out of our learners. Our staff are overseen by our professional development team, headed up by our Training and Development Director. We strive to ensure that the highest quality of tuition is maintained and hold regular Continued Professional Development (CPD) sessions, where teachers are encouraged to fine tune their knowledge of structural and functional language and stay up to date with the latest trends in methodology. Not only are our members of staff observed regularly by Senior Teachers and members of our Teacher Training Staff, but they have the opportunity to observe each other in order to ensure a constant exchange of ideas. Although specialised in their particular fields, ETC considers it essential to provide training for their subject staff in the art of TESOL (Teaching English as a Second or Other Language). We believe that by improving their appreciation of the linguistic challenges experienced by their learners, teachers will be better equipped to assess the effectiveness of learning and teaching provision.
