ETC's English for Aviation + Drone Flight Training course combines specialist Aviation English with practical drone operation. The programme is designed for pilots, trainee pilots, aircraft engineers, air traffic controllers and other aviation professionals who need to communicate accurately and clearly in international contexts and to work safely with drone technology.
The course helps participants progress towards ICAO Operational Level 4, building the language skills needed for routine and non-routine situations, both face to face and over radio or telephone. Training is delivered by ETC International College with the Drone Flight Training module provided by our technical partner RUAS Ltd, leading to internationally recognised certification.

Entry Requirements
Minimum Age and Level
18+ years old. Must be CEFR B1/ICAO Level 3 or above. Pre-test and needs analysis required.
Course Duration
13 weeks
12 weeks of Aviation English plus 1 week that includes the Drone Flight Training module (A2 CofC and GVC)
Course Structure
30 lessons per week
10 lessons of Aviation English per week plus 20 lessons of General English per week.
Drone Flight Training Module
3-day classroom based A2 CofC and GVC Theory Course
1 day off-site drone flight training
1 day off-site drone flight assessment
Online pre-learning, written or online theory exams, practical flight assessment, operations manual support and ongoing student support.
