The ETC HNC Business is aimed at providing students with the knowledge and skills to follow a Business degree or follow a career path in Business.
The ETC HNC Business course prepares students for progression to year 2 of a degree, RQF level 6. The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to follow a Business degree or follow a career path in Business.
The 24 week course is a 120 Credit Diploma in Business, including 1 English modules and 8 Business modules. Each Business unit has 60 hours of teaching and 90 hours per unit of personal study time. The ETC HNC Business consists of a range of Business subjects divided into 6 terms, each 8 weeks long. There are 6 start dates throughout the year.
This covers 30 Lessons a week (1 Lesson = 45 Minutes) = 22.5 hours per week.[tabby title=”Course Content”]
The course would typically cover the key areas of business:
• Health and Safety in Engineering
• Technical Communications
• Business & Engineering
• Managing a Technical Project
Upon completion of the course you will receive an HNC in Business. This is equivalent to 120 credits.

English for Academic Purposes
Following the EAP course will greatly enhance student ability to participate in higher education. Students will learn the appropriate skills and vastly improve their chance of gaining a higher IELTS score.
Following the Pre-sessional EAP course provides an average progression rate of a 1.5 IELTS score increase within 12 weeks. This compares to Pre-foundation English courses average rate of a 0.5 score increase in 12 weeks.[tabby title=”Partnerships”]

Students must have at least IELTS 6 or equivalent / CEFR B2 to be accepted onto the HNC Business course.
There are 6 entry points each year for the either the first (HNC) year or the second year (HND) at the start of each 8 week term.
