Aeronautical Engineering Diploma // Adult Courses
The ETC Level 5 Unit Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering is aimed at providing students with the knowledge and skills to follow an Aeronautical engineering degree or follow a career path in engineering. The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to follow an Aeronautical Engineering degree or follow a career path in Aeronautical Engineering.
The 2 year course is a 240 credit diploma, with each year comprising 1 English modules and 8 Aeronautical Engineering modules. Each Aeronautical Engineering unit has 60 hours of teaching and 90 hours per unit of personal study time. The ETC Level 5 Unit Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering consists of a range of Aeronautical Engineering subjects divided into 3 terms, each 12 weeks long. There are two start dates per year.
Aeronautical Engineering Diploma
Students will study the following subjects:
- Research Project
- Further Mathematics
- Professional Engineering Management (Pearson-set)
- Aircraft Propulsion Principles and Technology
- Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine Design and
- Avionic Systems
- Advanced Turbine Rotary Wing Aircraft
- Mechanical and Flight Systems
Minimum Level Requirements
Students must already have an English level equivalent to IELTS 6 or equivalent / CEFR B2 in all language skills.
Certificates and Credits
Upon completion of the course you will receive a Level 5 Unit Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering. This is equivalent to 240 credits. This course is designed for students wishing to study Mechanical and related subjects at undergraduate level at a UK-based University. The course prepares students for progression to year 2 of a degree, RQF level 6.
